Dr. Alex Akpodiete is a compassionate professor; he truly cares about his students' learning and makes sure students understand the curriculum. He is a fantastic instructor with a wealth of knowledge about Information Technology, Networking, and Cybersecurity. He is a great motivator and mentor. Although I already passed my certification, he is still available for his former students like me and willing to guide me to the right career path.
I worked with Alex Akpodiete for several years in the early 1990's at one of the top accounting firms. Alex and I were both computer programmer/analysts (PA) at the time. Alex was the brightest of the PAs and extremely capable, but was passed over for advancement time and again. In hindsight, this was probably the best thing that happened to him because it pushed him into going back to school, resulting in a law degree. Since that time when Alex and worked directly together on projects for the accounting firm, we have kept up with each other of the years through e-mail, telephone calls and on occasion lunch when we are both in the same city. Alex continues to inspire me with not only his professional life, but the projects he takes on to build a better community. While I have not met his family directly, it is obvious Alex has passed on his talents to his children, as a proud parent, he has shared with me some of his children's achievements, which are impressive. Alex is the ultimate professional, attention to detail, thorough and always looking for betterment and new ideas
